Agriturismo San Giacomo

Our structure was across the street from the main part, which gave us serenity and quiet! Our building consisted of 3 areas, 2 apartments and just a room, which is what we had. A small fridge was also provided. Our host was Barabara and she was incredibly warm, welcoming and sweet. She showed us around a bit, we set a time for breakfast to be served each morning on our terrace and then that was it really. Such a comfortable and cozy area to stay for a few days, really relaxing.If i had to metion any negatives; Get an apartment if you'll be staying more than one night. There aren't many restaurants around close by, and not on the premises either, so we basically had to eat out every day for lunch and dinner. There are bbq facilities, but again we just had a room, so there were no provisions for staying in to eat. As an American, I like my drinks with ice and there was no ice machine or any ice available on the property. We found a grocery store about 15 minuutes away that sold a kilo bag of it, but we only had a mini fridge and no freezer. The pool was a bit smaller that we had hoped and it could use some stairs and maybe a little updating. But it was always clean and refreshing. The hammock that they had was ridiculously comfortable and I fell asleep immediately in it. There was even a line to dry clothes in the back yard that was convenient for towels and swimsuits. Our bathroom's shower, though worked great and the water pressure was also wonderful, the caulking around was a bit moldier than I was comfortable with. But nothing really to be upset about. Breakfast was all homemade sweets, hot coffee, hot milk( which I really appreciated) fresh fruit, juice. Our terrace was superb and special. After coming back from dinner, we layed on the lounge chairs, drinking wine and stared at the stars. ( but the back yard lights could be dimmer to enhance this experience). The grounds and lanscaping was exceptional and a joy to walk around in. Lavendar was everywhere and just stunning! There was a portable hot tub in the back yard that was availble to use, but we didn't get any instuction on it's use so we didn't bother. All said, a charming and peaceful stay that could have lasted another few days!
