Villa Gagnoni

We stayed the first week in Villa Gagnoni with family friends (4 adults, 5 children in total). When our friends left we stayed the second week in Casa Laran. Cristina, the site manager, very helpfully arranged for our luggage and food to be transferred to our new accommodation at changeover whilst we visited Florence. The whole site has been beautifully restored and is set on a hilltop with glorious views over the Tuscan countryside. The Villa is private and has its own pool whilst the other houses are in another area situated close to a communal pool. Both properties have excellent facilities although Casa Laran did not have air-conditioning. The whole experience from booking to departure was very friendly and professional. If you wanted you could join a very inclusive and social pizza evening. There was wine tasting another evening. We used their mountain bikes to explore the local terrain one day. The location is well positioned to explore both Tuscany and Umbria. We had a wonderful family (children aged 10, 8 & 6) holiday - I cannot recommend it more highly. The only comment I would make is that there are certainly a lot of mosquitoes around in the summer - I recommend you come prepared!
