Borgo Villa Risi

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Borgo Villa Risi! We were visiting Siena for 5 nights and looking for some rest and relaxation away from the city, as well as some time within the city walls. Borgo was perfect. Its location is just a quick 8 minute taxi ride from the train station (10 Euros), and a 15 minute bus ride into the city. There is a small bar, pizzeria and grocery a quick 5 minute walk from Borgo as well, and the bus stop is right across the street. For those wanting to explore the city center AND get away from it all, Borgo gives you the best of both worlds. Our apartment was very nice and clean. We had a pull out couch for our kids to sleep in, and a separate bedroom for us adults. The kitchen was small but perfect for all our meals (we cooked almost every meal here). We also had a nice patio which had a table, chairs, umbrella and bench for meals outside. The pool was so refreshing and there was even a box of pool toys and inflatables for us to use. There was also a washer and dryer where we were able to do a few loads of laundry during our stay. One of the best things about our apartment was the air conditioner! It was about 98 degrees during our stay and this gave us a wonderful respite from the heat. Alessandro was very helpful during check in and answering all of our questions throughout our stay. We cannot wait to come back! The only thing I would have liked was there to be an option for breakfast or dinner. Borgo does not serve breakfast, which is OK, but it would have been nice.
