Guglielmo Room's B&B

Arrived from the airport using the Alibus getting off at Bellini park and walking straight upwards to the B&B. Lovely welcome and shown to our room. Our room was at the front of the building and we had the sole use of the spacious balcony complete with lots of lovely plants and table and chairs. The room was a great size with the essential aircon. Our bathroom was separate and located just across from our room with plenty of towels. The staff at the B&B were excellent and gave us invaluable advice on where to go and what we could see with maps and timetables to help us plan our stay. Breakfast was excellent with a selection of fresh fruit salad, yogurts,pastries and cereals. Hot italian coffee completed the meal and set us up for the day. The location of the B&B is excellent. You can walk through the lovely shaded park to Via Etnea, the main street going down to the main piazza Duomo, lots of eating places around this area. Best eating place we found for authenticity and value was Del Barone which can be reached by turning left outside the B&B and then left again ,go to the end of the street, its on the right hand side. 2 Appetizers,2 prima piatti and 1 secondi piatti, half a litre of vino rosso and water for around 34 Euros with excellent service. All together a thoroughly lovely 3 day stay!
