We stayed here for 2 nights and found it an oasis of calm . There is a pool which my son enjoyed and the view from the terrace looking at Etna is stunning. You can walk along the river both ways and despite the hot summer, there were egrets and other birds there. Francesco was a warm host offering me drinks for which he didn't charge me and the food was simply stunning: A 5 course meal which was home cooked, so tasty and of high quality country fare. We were so full we had trouble sleeping! Rooms are simple . The access road is bumpy in parts but we did it with a normal non 4wd. We found this place a complete contrast to Palermo and Taormina and it was good to see this part of Sicily. Francesco had many returning guests which said it all. A bit of Italian would help but i was told he did receive English speaking guests so clearly not a problem
