237 reviewsWe were connected to the owner (Domenico) by a travel agency in Sciacca when the place our friends and us had previously booked through TA was not inhabitable. This turned out to be a fortuitous event as we couldn't have ended up with a better place, or a better host. Domenico arranged to meet us in order to guide us to the Renella Residence as I'm sure it would be difficult to find on your own. This is a complex of same style townhouses. We were there in the latter part of September and had the complex pretty much to ourselves for the 5 nights, although the small disturbance we caused once to our immediate neighbours was smoothed over by sharing our Limoncello. The restaurants in the immediate area of the complex were not open that late in the season. Not a problem as we found great places to eat in Sciacca about 15 minutes down the road. A final word about Domenico. He was an excellent host, tolerating our frequent silly tourist questions patiently and respectfully. A word of caution if wireless is important to you. Not sure how well the signal was received in other rooms but for us, we had to walk a few feet down the balcony to Domenicos unit in order to get a signal. Because of a family situation back home, we needed to use the Internet a lot over the 5 days we were there and Domenico was courteous enough to place a chair for us near his unit so we could sit while connected. I would not hesitate to book with Domenico again if we are ever back in Sciacca
