Antichi Riverberi

Antichi Riverberi is part of an apartment block, the owners live on the floor below. We received a very warm welcome from Carmela and Salvatore even though we were an hour earlier than I expected. Carmela has a little English but we managed to communicate via a Microsoft translator app which they introduced to us. It is very effective.The accommodation consists of bedroom, sitting room with dining table and chairs, small kitchen with (bottled) gas cooker, fridge and crockery, cutlery, cooking pots. The bedroom is a good size with plenty of clothes hanging space and the bathroom is large with a washing machine and a laundry sink. Everything was clean throughout. When we left Salvatore kindly drove us to the station which is about 20 minutes walk. The flat is well placed for public transport, the sea front is less than 5 minutes walk. The flat is not suitable for people with mobility problems as there are quite a lot of stairs, including an open tread staircase down into the apartment - this is perfectly safe and has a proper handrail. The only small criticism I have was breakfast which was in a small bar opposite, it consisted of a not especially good pastry and decent coffee. In hindsight I would have opted for no breakfast as there was plenty of scope to provide our own in the apartment. We had a very comfortable 2 nights here.
