I was welcomed by cool and friendly staff. About the location, I didn't even realise that it was so centre until my 3rd day when I started to go round and round the area as the location was quiet. It was very cheap for a 4 bed dorm in the heart of Rome- walking distance from Termini station, supermarkets are available in every corner, or if you just want to dine, there are also restaurants around. The fridge isn't that big but rather empty so there wasn't any problem, there's a common/ dining area with a very small kitchen, it was a bit useless though- almost no plates and utensils and no way to cook, but you're in Italy anyway so why defrost or eat ready to eat food? Upon check out I still had the full day so I was able to leave my backpack in the racks beside the front desk- it felt less secured as it was just open, you just have to trust they have cameras working or someone watching the bags from the front desk. Shower and toilet are outside the rooms, they were ok but they can improve the cleanliness

Fine hostel in the heart of Rome

In this hostel staff do not care about guests. We had the bedroom infested of bed bugs, we were moved on the following day to another room. It concerned to me my clothes were in the room and i requested a laundry service, they just said no. I also requested a linen, the guy was in reception is a lazy dude, he responded to me come back to 9:30pm, when his shift was finished and i will be the work for another one else. The facilities are so poor, what they called kitchen is basically a surface, not even cupboard, where people spread around their groceries, one nasty sink with no hot water for washing up and one tiny broken fridge for all the hostel, which is a completely mess inside. In the bedrooms the air condicionate is not working properly and we were sweating all night, the bunk beds were so weak, that made a terrible noise every time we were moving, awaking all of us. In the showers there is not enough water pressure, unless up the 3rd floor, and when the sink tap was working the water was coming up to the shower. The common area is basically few some tables and chairs that not helps at all for socialising. The staff, except the guy who speaks Spanish it is not helpful at all. Do not even walk near by to this hostel unless you want to feel what it is to be a donkey.

Most terrible nightmare never seen

Booked a day trip out to the mountains / desert with Mosaic and highly recommend it - it was well-coordinated, easy pickup/ drop off, and excellent tour guides. We reached out to them on WhatsApp and we’re able to set everything up online. On the morning of the trip, our driver picked us up directly at our Airbnb.

This Hostel felt more like a hotel! It is in a great location in Rome right next door to a coffee/bakery shop and any where from a 15-30 minute walk to many of the major sights (trevi fountain, colosseum etc). 

It doesn’t have much of an atmosphere to meet other guests, but this could also be as we visited in a slower month! 

The Hostel itself had friendly front desk staff, a kitchen available for use and clean rooms! We had shared bathroom facilities, but it was just outside our door so really wasn’t an issue for us! 

It’s very reasonable in price and perfect for a short stay! If you’re wanting a more social atmosphere I would consider other hostels. But if you are looking for a clean space to sleep, this is perfect for you!

Mosaic Hostel, quiet & clean!

I stayed at a couple of other hostels in Rome and found this to be the best. 
It's in a central location away from the not so good areas of Rome. 

Going into the hostel you will be met by one of the very friendly staff members at reception. These were great, always smiling and have good conversation skills. I enjoyed speaking with them. 

The hostel is modern and very clean, like super clean. Good facilities, fast internet and a comfortable bed. 

Will be visiting again when I'm back. Thanks.

Clean, friendly hostel in a great location

Massimo & Luca: great guys at front desk. Cheery & informative: just what a tired old backpacker needs to raise his spirits, last night in Italy for a while. Thank you.
(I was directed here by Alfredo, owner of Hostel Mancini in Naples - also ideal for the station. It's an honest mutual recommendation that works well for all.)
Could do with more of a lounging area rather than just an extended kitchen. Fine in Jan, but could imagine it getting milling about in each others' ways when busy. Breakfast in with it. Well priced beers available for Scottish Breakfast as well; but no whisky: they draw a sensible line.
Decent dorms, with a lift to reach them if with heavy baggage.
A couple of cafes & a minimarket round corners.
An easy walk to Termini & airport bus stops, so a smooth way to come & go with Rome.

5 night stay here 1st twin didn't have w/c or shower so asked for an upgrade staff at front desk were brilliant upgraded room was all we needed not one complaint about the place or staff and great location highly recommend

This hostel is really good value and it's not far away from Termini station(8min by walk).
Staff are professional and really helpful especialy the guy with black glasses. If you need something he will help. 
Hostel is really clean,breakfast is included in price,do not expect large buffe,but its quite enough.

Friendly staff and hostel.

Rude staff that treated me not politely, also the owner that asked me to talk directly with him and not with the receptionist that was trying to solve my 1-of-many problems in my stay.
I asked 1 month in advance before to book if it was ok to arrive with my bike, they said "yes, no problems at all, you are welcome". I had just arrived and discovered by the owner-rude-mouth that i couldnt enter/leave with it during my 4 days stay... just to park it in the rooftop and catch in the end.
My single room didnt have wi-fi sinal and warm water, but had a "beutiful view" of pegion poops.
They made me waste 2 hours waiting for a new room, and they only changed it cuz i called the booking.com support. Now actually, im in a 4 beds shared room that they told i stay alone till the end of my stay.
Dont waste your money and patience here.

My worst experience in 30 days in Italy

We stayed there for 2 nights. Good location near the main train station, easy to go around and reach the main sites. Nice and friendly staff, clean room and bathroom. Simple breakfast. Good value for the money.
