Hotel Corot

I travelled with my son from Saturday 19 until Tuesday 22 July. We were looking for a hotel that was central and allow us to access all the major attractions we were keen to visit Colosseum was 20 Mins was walking. Trevi fountain and Spanish Stairs also within walking distance. We were 5 mins walk from hotel to the Tremini station with access to bus, train and subway. This meant we could easily access Vatican City by subway. This would have been an hour walk and as we had museums booked early we did not want to set up off too early by foot. Subway was 6 euro return. Also from airport; we flew into Ciampino, we managed to get a bus direct from Airport to station for 16 euro for both of us. I believe a taxi was 55euro. It was a quick walk from station to hotel. Hotel was nice. Basic but had everything we needed. Very clean and room cleaned everyday with fresh towels each day. We did not spend much time in the room as we had so much to do in terms of the site seeing we wanted to do. The staff were extremely helpful and polite on all occasions we interacted. When we arrived the staff seen that we had been allocated a double room and offered to change to a room with a double bed and a single. I get cold at night so the extra cover in the room was perfect. I had considered booking a hotel with a pool. Whilst that would have been nice we would not have had time to use this hence Corot was sufficient. I would recommend this accommodation for those on a city break and would happily stay here again.
