Myself, my partner and our daughter stayed here for 5 nights during the July heatwave. Despite the heat, we had an absolutely amazing time. La Mortella is such an oasis of peace and rest, and the family that run it are lovely. The pool was pristine and a very welcome respite from the heat, and our was was spotless, with excellent air con when it was needed most! Many of the breakfast products were made on site, and we thoroughly enjoyed 2 evening meals here cooked by the family. They also produce their own olive oil which we purchased when we left. It is very much in the countryside so you need a car, but it is so very worth the trip. The family are incredibly hospitable. Highly recommend to anyone wanting some rest and relaxation in the Italian hills
