LOVED their Inn. It was clean, beautiful & the perfect location. I am picky and we loved both their Inn and restaurant. The Suite was extremely spacious. We enjoyed a seamless experience walking a few feet to have lunch at the restaurant. The 80 ingredient salad was a highlight. They pick their produce fresh from their garden before every service. Thank you Chef, Enrico Crippa!

We stayed here as we’d booked to eat at the restaurant.  We had a really lovely welcome, the room was huge and the bed really comfortable.  The bathroom was also big and a really lovely deep bath.

Pure luxury to match the amazing restaurant.

Chef Crippa is simply brilliant. The salad 21 31 41 51 was inventive. The amuse Bouche simply stunning. Everything else was immaculately executed. A perfect lunch menu. The beetroot and prawn risotto a stand out too. Precise. Delicate. Stunning. The pans cotta Matisse sublime.

Unbelievably high quality cuisinage

These rooms are beautiful, and clean and bright. Also beautifully located in central Alba. Wonderful morning coffee in the in-room Lavazza machine. 
   The cons:  as far as we can tell, no obvious elevator available on a Sunday morning for our check out, (and no staff, since these are "rooms", not actually a hotel), so we'll have drag our heavy bags down the steps ourselves. Also, the second key they gave us didn't fit the door(they never tested it!?), so we had to get it exchanged.  And the rooms ARE bright: the shades are for privacy, not blackouts, so light does come through. 
    AND on Saturday night the wine bar just below our window played LOUD disco music until 11:30pm. Aargh!!!
    But the two things that really bothered me (for a king suite that was rather expensive!)?
   1.  No nightlight in the huge fancy bathroom. Just three light switches that all produce very bright light.  So people that need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night need to leave on one of these bright lights!  Much better to offer a soft light that doesn't hurt your eyes or wake you up too much!
    2. The worst thing was a mattress liner that doesn't breathe. After 10 minutes in one spot I was hot and sticky against the bed. Kept having to change positions all night not to feel like a boiled chicken. Thankfully the A/C was very good and air temp was cool. But that mattress cover made me feel like I was in a nursing home. At these prices the clients' comfort should come first.
