Villa Amelia B&B

After spending a week in the centre of Florence, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Amelia with Diego as our host. Villa Amelia is clean and tidy and a great place to unwind after a hectic week in the city. The rooms are cool and spacious with large en suite facilities that were kept clean and topped up with toiletries daily. The ac kept us cool in the heat of the night. Breakfast is a simple but ample help yourself buffet style with Diego on hand to top up your tea or coffee. The location is also a great feature of this accommodation. Literally 5 minutes from the main centre of the local town and 2 minutes from the sea. There are plenty of private beaches all offering a days bathing with parasol and sunloungers for around 20 Euros. We took advantage of the bikes that Villa Amelia offers free which are kept in top condition. We went up and down the coastal cycle paths that are safe and easy to follow. Also, the seafront is flat so cycling between the piers of the seafront is easy. We comfortably did 20km over a few days and we don't cycle at home. Villa Amelia has another feature which is the 10% off at chosen local restaurants. We did 3 of the local 4 and one twice - Carolinas. All were superb and the pasta and pizza was simple, tasty and perfect with what seemed to be great value wines. So, if you want somewhere that offers secure parking, walking distance to all local bars, restaurants & shops coupled with spacious rooms and great service, you can't go wrong with Villa Amelia.
