We got married Castello Doria in Porto Venere and stayed at Locanda Lorena on our wedding night and it was everything we could have asked for. We ate a delicious meal at the owners restaurant which consisted of authentic Italian cuisine and fresh seafood before returning to the villa for the night. We happened to get the entire villa to ourselves which was perched atop a sea cliff with romantic views of the Italian coast and the Mediterranean. The island has lots of hiking trails, some sea caves and an interesting history. The hotel staff treated us like family and made sure every need was met. The owner had pictures in the restaurant of most of his guests hanging on the wall so we made sure to get one with him for ourselves! We like to explore new places but it will be hard not to come back here year after year! We will definitely be back to celebrate a future anniversary and our wonderful memories of our wedding stay.
