Sa Domu e Crakeras

As other reviewers have mentioned, Salvatore is a fabulous host who greeted us cheerfully on our arrival and made sure that we had enough space to park our motorbikes. As (in his words) Italians can be noisy, he gave us a room upstairs in the main building rather than one around the courtyard. The upstairs rooms were almost brand new and had been built in when the roof was renewed. Our room was a very good size with lovely blue, black and white floor tiles which were coordinated with the wall lights. The bathroom was a very good size,with plenty of toiletries, towels and colourful fixtures and fittings. The windows were high level with vertical blinds and mosquito nets attached, thoughtfully a small pair of steps were in position under the way for those of us who need an extra bit of height. We had a very good night's sleep here. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and very convivial as all guests sat around a large table and could help themselves from a selection of cereals, yogurt, bread, toast and very tasty home-made marmalade. There was a large fridge which we could help ourselves from, including water during our stay which was a real bonus. Salvatore provided us with a map of Oristano and recommended various restaurants for our evening meal. There was a flamenco class downstairs until 10:30pm on the night we stayed, but rather than disturb us, the live guitar playing and stomping provided an entertaining background sound for the short time we were in our room before the class ended. We would definitely recommend this place and could have easily stayed another night or two, it was very good value for money and had a fabulous atmosphere.
