This review would be 5 star but for the fact that there is 5 star food available in the same village - and in fairness you can't give everything 5 stars,,,,,,.. The food in Brandimarte is good nevertheless and guests won't be disappointed on that front, especially if you make a point of enjoying local produce. Where Brandimarte scores for me is the imaginative conversion of the old farmhouse, simple yet extremely well appointed with tasteful layout and decor, and none of the ostentatious kitch of a swanky hotel. You enter on the level of the restaurant and find the bedrooms on the floors below, There is a lift.The staff are friendly, polite and helpful and the views from the rooms overlooking the Piano Grande are fabulous - photographs attached. Wherever you point a camera in Castelluccio you can't go wrong and its a bonus to book a room with this view. 
Brandimarte is at the very top of the village: this location is useful as there is parking outside that you can rely on, even when the other village streets get crowded - although it's a tiny village, Castelluccio can get very popular on a hot summer weekend. But don't let that put you off. We used Brandimarte as a base for walking and a little motoring this year and found it absolutely ideal. I hope we will get back there sometime.

Just about the best accommodation we have found in 15 years of travelling around Italy.

Wanting to see Castelluccio and taste the local produce I chose this Agriturismo on the basis of the very positive TA reviews. We weren't disappointed! 

The Agriturismo (in reality a very nice hotel) has been open for 4 years and is located in a refurbished farm building towards the top of the rocky mound on which the village stands. The refurbishment has been carried out to a very high standard in a fairly simple style with carefully chosen materials and very modern fittings. The staff were very welcoming and took endless trouble to ensure we had everything we wanted. The room was small but well equipped with a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. Our only small complaint would be the necessity constantly to log back into the internet rather than remaining connected for the whole of the stay. 

The breakfast buffet was very good in the Italian style (more cakes than savouries) but with delicious local ricotta and good croissants, and outstanding crostata. Frittata or boiled eggs owere available on request. All the staff were again extremely attentive and polite. 

Our room overlooked the mountains and the fertile plain leading up to the pass which forms the Marche/Umbria border. At the end of May there was still snow right at the top of the mountains, and in the mornings we could see the fast moving and dramatic cloud effects as well as the thin layer of additional  snow which had arrived in the night, but then melted away. There are a number of walks in the area and it was interesting to see the fields in which the lentils had been planted - such stony soil! The wild flowers were everywhere, but not in the full glory which will be seen later in June.

This place is located right in Castelluccio. Parking was easy outside the building. Staff are excellent, friendly and professional and take pride in the place. Rooms are clean & comfortable, with a great view from the upper floors, although the window could be bigger to take advantage of that (extremely minor gripe). Wifi works well. The restaurant is excellent as well, local produce is used and the food is lovely. Pretty good value for what you get.

Would highly recommend this place and will be returning!

Wonderful accommodation and view

We had a very well appointed modern room with a terrace overlooking the Piano Grande. Hospitality and food highly recommended, A perfect place to stay in Castelluccio and ideal base to explore the southern Sibillini mountains

Superb

We stayed two nights and had a great service, clean and comfortable rooms. The food was excellent. Clean cloths, glasses and cutlery. You could see that owners and employees expend energy to appear with quality. We'll be back.
