Do not be fooled by the location: this former ceramics factory may look off-putting from the outside but inside it's a real gem. This charming hotel has 10 rooms and was designed by someone with a real eye for detail and comfort. Rooms have sloping wood-panelled ceilings, trendy polished concrete floors and large bathrooms. The kettle and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities are not too common in Italy. Touches of its past life appear as colourful dishes on the wall behind the reception desk and a small showroom packed with ceramic products (on sale). Absolutely spotless and well cared for. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were absolutely delightful, providing lots of useful info about the location and nearby eateries. Can't wait to return!
