Rielingerhof

Rielingerhof is a working farm and vineyard in a dramatic location perched above the Eisacktal (valley) in the South Tyrol. It has great views across the valley to the dolomites. Due to it's location, it is an interesting approach (access is from above) and you need to allow time to navigate the narrow roads - but it is definitely worth it. We went for a winter weekend retreat. The hosts were really friendly and made sure we had a really pleasant time. A sheep had just (unusually) had triplets - so we were taken to the barn to admire the lambs and cows. We had a great evening meal in the Stube (wood panelled dining room) and the bedroom was cosy and renovated to a very high standard. The wine tasting was also a lot of fun and we enjoyed the unusual wines. Breakfast was one of the best I have had for a long time - lots of really good quality farm produce. The prices were all very reasonable for the quality.
