841 reviewsExceptional location and accommodations, with stunning views and a nice spa, run by a three-generation family. We can't wait to return!! As they say: Location, location, location. Malcesine is the "pearl" of Lake Garda for a reason -- stunning 180 views of the lake with an adorable little town, complete with a castle. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the heart of Malcesine and 15 minute walk to the Mount Baldo gondola. I think every room on the property has incredible views of the lake/surrounding mountains. The hotel itself really leans into its emphasis on wellbeing and adult-only retreat. The hotel has dozens of spots (lounge chairs, cabanas, etc.) to relax and enjoy the views--either on their two rooftops, two pools, on your own private balconies, or in the spa center. Even though the hotel was totally booked, I always felt we had privacy--we routinely enjoyed the rooftop or pool to ourselves. The restaurant (which we ate at for dinner twice and every morning for breakfast) was very good. Our room (104) was HUGE and I don't think it was even one of the hotel's "nicest" rooms. Everything in the room was very clean and modern, and exceptionally well laid out. The room even had a private 1-person "sauna". The views from the room on our private balcony were incredible. The service was very hands-off in a good way: they were there when you need them, and not when you didn't. The spa includes two pools (one heated) and a spa center. The spa center (saunas, etc.) has somewhat inconvenient hours for us (2PM to 8PM) when we visited, and, as an American, I didn't love the no-swimsuit rule in the sauna. But we mostly stuck to the pools and in-room sauna anyways. The fitness center was small without views, but perfectly clean.
