13 reviewsMaybe I was just extremely lucky, but this was an amazing place to stay. The house is about a half a mile walk from Bogliaco, itself about a mile or two from Gargnano, and thus is a little off the beaten track, and maybe because I was there on my own and because I don't know any Italian (and they don't know much English) I was given special treatment; I don't know. All I can say is this: I have never been treated so warmly in a Hotel or B&B. From the constant offer of lifts to and from places, to free beers and the use of their lounge to watch a particularly grueling Andy Murray match in the French Open, the hosts were as generous as it is possible to be. The cherry on the top is that I twice ate with them, essentially as a guest at their table- the food was absolutely delicious- and I wasn't charged a penny for this, or any other of the previously mentioned extras. Like I say, I'm sure free meals aren't ordinarily a part of the deal, but my point is that they bent over backwards to make my stay not just comfortable (Great bedroom, lovely breakfasts, a packed lunch for walks!) but as wonderful as it could be (at one point they drove to town to buy me a walking map of the nearby Monte Pizzocolo!). It's a wonderful area which I would recommend wholeheartedly and, as if you haven't guessed, I would recommend Le Brede to anyone, unreservedly. Thank you so much, I shall return...
