Great place, nice people, excellent food. We stayed for a week, got used to the iffy backroad (no 4weeldrive neccessary), had a cosy appartment with a fire, hiked on top of the two mountains you look at from the terazza, and visited many beautiful spots in the backcountry (e.g. Magasa), and the côast (e.g. Salo, even though at the end of September the coast is still very touristy.) We ate at the agriturismo twice (during our stay they only served food from friday through sunday lunch), and had exceptionally good food and wine. Hats off to the cook! Had a drink every day at the local bar in Gaino, and liked to stroll through Cecina. Our host Lucca was always helpful. Cute cats and friendly dogs, no problem with our dog. A perfect place for people who love nature, the quiet, and good food.
