B&B Padò - Immersi nella natura

I stayed with Giovanna and her dog Wald for about two weeks in late August 2017. I was looking to get away from the busy city life of Berlin and at Pado BNB I found just what i was looking for, and more. The home is situated in the mountains above the small town of Marone, near the village of Zone overlooking lake Iseo. The rooms are very comfortable, with a gorgeous view and decorated nicely. The entire house is put together very nicely and gives you the feeling of having found a true home in the Italian mountains. The kitchen is well-equipped and ready to be used for cooking yummi Italian cuisine or anything else you might fancy. The bathroom is shared, but always clean. Giovanna is a wonderful host. Not only does she put a lot of attention into the details of her home, making your stay a truly memorable, but she also makes you feel at home in the mountains. She is very much in tune with the nature she lives in and will not only give you advice on where to go, but also remind you of how precious everything is. Thanks to her advise I had the greatest hiking experiences and got to experience nature from a new perspective. She showed to me her garden filled with vegetables and herbs, and taught me how to make coffee Italian style. Something I continued doing once i got back to Berlin. During my stay, I alternated between hiking down to the Valley and spending time at the lake, and hiking up on the mountain enjoying the gorgeous view from above. The small town of Marone has restaurants and coffee shops as well as supermarkets to discover. And the village of Zone up in the hills will likewise provide for all your basic needs. Enjoy a scrumptious Italian pizza or an ice cream in one of the many small restaurants and bars, or go shopping in the small village supermarket. A bus service connects Marone with Zone, and from the bus stop it's about a 15-20 min walk to Pado. I can only recommend Pado. For those seeking to be surrounded by nature and do not shy away from discovering the surroundings on foot, this is the right place to go. Giovanna was extremely forthcoming to me. I can't wait to return to this little paradise.
