This is a slightly quirky hotel but we love it and have stayed here 10+ times over the last 20 years.  It may be basic, with décor from the 1970's but it is clean and the location is perfect for accessing the main gondola, ticket office and ski shop/hire. The family who run it are very friendly and always make us feel welcome.  The village is 5 mins down the hill and a little longer on the way back (it's a steep hill !).

Perfect!

Much touted by the guide Routard, this place has just two plain, cold bedrooms, one bathroom (whose shower could use a good scrubbing), and a shared room with a table, chairs, a sink, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker. The common room was taken over for the evening as a temporary office by the other guest, who also smoked in his room. For breakfast, the owner supplied stale cookies and bad coffee, but we had to make the coffee ourselves and supply our own milk. The owner provided no receipt; apparently he is operating illegally. He was pleasant enough, and a shelf in the common room held a lot of books and brochures about the area, but these good points failed to outweigh the bad ones. The place seemed more like an overpriced hostel than a bed-and-breakfast.

Unfortunately I have to give this place a bad review. The staff were very friendly and nice.
The location is probably great during winter. In summer it was still ok. I would guess the rooms are warm during cold season as well. Now it was soooo cold and damp, it was halway in the cellar as well. It also smelled of food in the corridors.

Perfect for sleeping when skiing all day. Very close to the bubble up to the slopes...and only a few minutes walk to the pedestrian area of Limone.
I like it...would go back again...definitely recommended...
Warm welcoming staff make it a great place.
