La Casa Delle Rose Bed Breakfast

We used this, as most people do, for visiting Cinque Terre. One clear advantage over many places is that there is easy, public, parking right outside. The welcome is good, and the owners are clearly proud of their house, and its roses, and the way it has been renovated to make a stand-alone apartment downstairs. Spotlessly clean, quiet, no a/c but good ventilation, in room wi-fi, comfortable large bed, good bathroom. It is 25 minutes walk from La Spezia station (from where the trains to Cinque Terre go). Alternatively you can drive (but I did not investigate parking, but it is meant to be available), or bus (very frequent service). Ask the owners and they can tell you all the details. Dinner is walking distance too (less than 10 minutes to the pizzeria), or you can go downtown for infinite variety. The owners are interesting and personable, and went out of their way to give us the breakfast of our choice (talk to them the day before). Altogether good value and very pleasant stay.
