Lia Rooms

Upon arrival into La Splazia by train my group got a bit mixed up on which of the 2 rooms we wanted and we ended up at Lia rooms 2. We were greeted outside by a really friendly guy with great English he at first tried to get our rooms changed to 2 but when that failed helped get to the bus stop asked to wait for him as he had another group to deal with. Then went back to check in that group. True to his word in less than 10 minutes he was back just in time for the bus, explained the best route and we left the bust to finish our journey on foot for all of 5 minutes if that. The outside of the building is beautifully kept as is the interior. The lift I have to say is one of the best features as it's the old double door one you don't go anywhere unless both inner and outer doors are closed. The rooms we took were tastefully decorated and extremely clean the bathroom was a dream especially after some I have recently had to use and beautifully decorated. Again our guide was very helpful and explain some of the nicer places to visit while making check in as painless as possible. One thing to be aware of is the city tax it is not a great deal and if it helps the town it's no hardship but be aware if you have booked and payed before arriving you will have to pay that. You are quite literally only minutes from buses trains or taxis the beach is also only minutes away. If you have time jump on a train to vernazza and manarola you won't be dissapointed and make sure you get to see them as it gets dark
