Sits down close to the water. Excellent food for dinner and drinks. The hotel is comfortable and within walking distance of the Lake Idro. Great place to spend the night as you explore the mountain passes by bicycle. Comfortable beds. Rooms are tight but quaint. Very friendly staff.

My partner and I went to Lago d'Idro for a daytrip and stopped off at this charming restaurant for lunch. 
In such a remote area we were very surprised to find such an elegant restaurant at the lakeside. The restaurant's appearance, the very courteous staff (both young and old) were all very upper-class, the food excellent, but the price was moderate.
The young waiter was very patient with my attempt to speak Italian. :-) 

Because we were only in the restaurant, we cannot rate the hotel in this review.

We visited the Hotel Alpino again this year and as always everything was perfect.  A family run hotel, spotlessly clean, excellent food and wine, welcoming and helpful in  every way. The hotel overlooks the lake and it is very pleasant to sit outside on the terrace and try the homemade ice-cream or drink a Limoncello!

Absolutely beautiful location on the shores of Lake Idro, about 40 mins drive to Lake Garda. This is a family run hotel, and I mean family,at least 3 generations, and all the better for it. We were upgraded to a suite, at no extra cost, very clean, spacious, homely, with views over the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing. We had evening meals in the dining room, the best pasta bolognese I've ever had. Breakfast was typical buffet style with a good range and choice,and all constantly stocked up by very attentive family waiter. There is an outside area at the front, ideal for watching the world go by with Italian beer and gorgeous views. We will definitely be going again !!!

Alpino is a family-run business. A special service is the parking garage for motorbikers. The kitchen is great. It serves Italian cuisine on a high level. The wine list is extraordinary and serves a great selection of high end Italian wines with many old vintages. Continental breakfast on the contrary is rather standard. It is a pity that the walls are very thin. I heard the other guests, though they weren't loud and not in the next room. WLAN is free and the service of the familiy is great.
