Vecchia Quercia Gubbio

My wife and I spent two very comfortable and relaxing nights at this wonderfully unique B&B nestled in the Umbrian hills a few K's from Gubbio. We were warmly received and very much made to feel at home. Roberto is an excellent cook and we were able to learn so much about Italian food. One memorable night we cooked together on the patio BBQ overlooking this beautiful Umbrian landscape. Our bedroom was clean, spacious and well appointed as was the rest of this very special home with its interesting furnishings and art works. The B&B is just a stone’s throw from Gubbio and surrounding sites so it made a great base to explore the history and architecture of this beautiful part of Italy. Just one piece of advice – don’t rely on your sat nav to get there. Take up Roberto and Antje’s offer of providing detailed instructions! We highly recommend this B&B to anyone wishing for a quite, relaxing, unpretentious and honest place to stay in Umbria. James and Nerida
