27 reviewsWe booked at Le Volte simply because we had never been in this part of Umbria before. Luckily the hosts contacted us 24 hours prior with a map, because it was tricky to find! After we realized we had driven too far we found the turn and were thrilled by the switchback gravel driveway up to the farm! My mom and I were warmly greeted by Anna and Pierogiorgio and two dogs. We were the only guests and were given a large room with very ornate furniture and a wonderful view of the chapel, hillside, and valley. Dinner was simply amazing -- homemade food prepared with love, and everybody was so attentive and kind. My favorites were the eggs with fresh asparagus and the wild boar. Dessert (panna cotta with cherries) was delicious! The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. No wifi, so make sure you are caught up with email before arriving! It was a real treat to be totally unplugged from the world for 24 hours. Breakfast was extra special with everything you would expect. We felt like family and wish we didn't have prepaid reservations the following night elsewhere as we would've stayed!
