Agriturismo Le Cinciallegre

When we got home from our two-week grand tour of Italy, the four of us wrote secret lists of our three favorite accommodations. When we compared the lists, Le Cinciallegre appeared on all four! We thank Frabrizio and Cristina for their warm hospitality and great recommendations. They should market their homemade quince jam. It was delicious, as was everything else. --The Fraser Family

Off the beaten track, with very welcoming and informed hosts.  Fabrizio speaks perfect English and is happy to direct you to all the places of interest in the area. The accommodation is in a very beautiful setting and close to many places of interest.

Le Cinciallegre, a beautiful place, very peaceful, with a closed park (2 Ha.) specially for dogs owners. Dogs are very welcomed, it is a B&B. Fabrizio, "il padrone",  is a very nice person, and a gracious host.  We were very happy there, and so were our two dogs.  Rooms very spacious. It has been mentioned in the Michelin Guide, as well as in other magazines.  Dog owners will be delighted, nature lovers fascinated!!! A  must ..

Unique Experience

A paradise, Country living in rural Italy, Umbria

Four wonderful days in an unspoilt haven in Umbria.

We visited in late May, which is still 'fresh' in the hills, (and as a result we found that the room was a little cool, especially at nights, though there was adequate bedding to cater to this). The location is quite remote, and the road in part unmade, so a decent car is advised!
The owners are friendly, and Fabrizio informative about surrounding attractions. Breakfast was pleasant 'continental' style, and taken in the conservatory, which has views of the garden. Again, it was a little cool in the morning, so bring a jumper if visiting in the Spring!
Dinner was not available in Cinciallegre itself, but they booked for us to eat at the nearest place, half-way down the hill, at another Agro-turismo resort. The food was again pleasant and the price acceptable, (though at 20E per person for two courses without wine, we felt somewhat that as they knew it was a long drive to anywhere else they could charge what they liked, and that it was a bit over-priced!).
We were glad we booked this location, as the situation is beautiful and peaceful, and we would recommend it to those looking to get 'close to nature'.

A beautiful location with helpful owner

The rooms are on varying levels as this agriturismo is on the side of a hill about 30 minutes or so from Gubbio. The views are fantastic and it seems ideal for a walking/painting/away from it all holiday.  The rooms are clean and tidily presented with ensuite facilities but the plastic bathroom fittings jarred.  The local speciality is ceramics and these were much in evidence along with pictures using dried flowers.  The breakfast is rather basic, consisting of fruit juice, home-made bread, jams and cake, yoghurt, tea and coffee.  Evening meals are no longer offered here but the agriturismo 4 minutes drive back down the track does serve evening meals and of course there is plenty of choice in Gubbio itself. We did not meet Cristina but Fabrizio spoke very good English.  There is only one dog now who was not a problem.  Self-catering is also available and there is a sitting room for guests.
