During our stay the most precious, apart from the views, food, peaceful surrounding, was lady from the reception, who called herself as "Our Italian Mother". Such a helpful, cheerful and amazing soul! The location was beyond expectations. Old property converted into quintessence of Italian hospitality and comfort zone. Tasty breakfasts, comfort, big rooms, peaceful evenings filled with the sounds of nature. The best week in our whole life! 

We loved our stay at Fattoria San Lorenzo so much, that we came back the next year. The apartment we had was spacious, clean and has all the necessary facilities. The swimming pool is great. And the estate has a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. But most importantly, the staff is fantastic. They are always willing to help with whatever you may need. And they do it with a smile and a sense of humour. Complimenti!

we have had a great stay here. would love to be staying longer. the staff couldn't be more helpful. the area is great with lots of things to do but even just to stay by the pool playing table tennis is great too. 

We stayed for 3 nights but we wished it would have been longer, the location has character, the pool is good for the kids, the staff are very generous and welcoming and the tennis teacher Luca is simply the best. Thank you for all our new memories and see you soon! 

A pleasant stay in luxury apartments with a great pool :-) The pool was surprisingly warm. The place is very quiet. There is a shopping mall nearby where you can get everything you need. To the sea about 10 km. We were very satisfied. We appreciate the professional approach of the staff. I highly recommend.

If you are looking for a relaxing stay in southern Tuscany that affords you not only vineyard options but is also a short 20 minute drive to a wide, inviting beach, look no further than Fattoria San Lorenzo! The property is beautiful and the accommodations are large and very nicely furnished. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom that had an open living/dining/kitchen on the main level and a lovely patio with table and chairs. It was early October, but the sun was still warm and our son enjoyed the pool. Breakfasts were plentiful and farm fresh. We also enjoyed a dinner during our stay. We really loved getting to know Veronica, and she had a fantastic wine pairing recommendation for dinner. Jana adored our son, and was always saying hello! S in the office was patient with our many questions about what vineyards to visit and where to eat. She made phone calls for us to set up vineyard tastings since October is the beginning of low season, and drew us maps so we knew how to get there! There is a grocery store a quick three minute drive from the farm that was convenient to pick up things to cook in our little kitchen. Our stay was so relaxing and enjoyable! We definitely plan to return!

It's a wonderful place to stay. Truly idyllic place in beautiful surroundings. Breakfast is plentiful and staff extremely helpful. A suggestion would be to ensure better contact with guests staying at the Capanne.

Everything was absolutely great. Above all, I must emphasize the very friendly and helpful staff, who were ready to fulfill our every wish. he cuisine is also excellent, we definitely recommend visiting a local restaurant. We hope to be able to return here again. 

Very friendly host helped us choosing day trips in the Maremma environment (in good English !!). We liked a day trip to Isola del Giglio best. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and also a large supermarket if you want to prepare your own meals. Airconditioning was top, so we could sleep comfortably in the warm Tuscany summer. And the pool also provided a nice cool down daily. Thanks a lot for a wonderful week!!

We had a great stay at Fattoria San Lorenzo.  Overall a very good experience.  Nice location, great swimming pool, helpful owners and easy access from Pisa (basically one long road all the way).  A lovely breakfast delivered to the door each morning and a nice peaceful environment with good access to some good spots to visit.

It's self catering and be aware that the room isn't cleaned during your stay (although you do get a refresh on towels and bed linen every 3 days or so)

Only minor gripes were TV not working initially (replaced immediately), one aircon machined stopped working (parts were on back order) and the wifi is weak and needs a login every time you connect (i.e. It won't remember the passcode for you).

The restaurant on the main site is decent enough although nothing special.  Service was very quick for us though.  Wear mosquito repellent in the evenings at the restaurant (we got caught out big time on that one!)

We were sad to leave but will be going back next year :-)

Very nice holiday in Maremma

We stayed at Fattoria San Lorenzo at Casa Livia in June 2018. The location is very good, close to Grosseto and beautiful beaches. Also close to a shopping mall and large supermarket for all your groceries.

We had a three room apartment with a new kitchen. The bathrooms could use an update, but it was fine. Nice, large swimming pool with an gradual descent where kids can swim. WiFi is good for browsing but not streaming.

Friendly staff members who work hard to deliver goid service. They we're easygoing and helped us with all our requests. Unfortunately the reception is closed at 7PM. I would at least reconsider to make the reception available till midnight.

Mosquitos are a problem if you go outside after dark, but that was almost everywhere in Maremma.

Huge plus for this accommodation is that you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the premises. And it's worth it!

For lunch and dinner you can go to restaurant Casa Livia. It was really good, see my review for more on that. 

The breakfast we've had is new, it started just a couple of months ago. It is  qualitatively very good and it is catered by Emiliano, a chef from Grosseto. The quantity of available breakfast is compact but more than enough. Emiliano takes great pride in making a lot of it himself, from marmelades to cakes and more. And he is meticulous in his preparation and presentation. He serves good coffee (to get you started) and makes delicious eggs (scrambled, sunny side up) and bacon. Also loved the cheese, salami and cured ham. And the homemade marmelade is some of the best I've ever had.

April 23 family holiday

Amazing time

It was a really good time we spent in the Fattoria San Lorenzo. Appartment and garden invite to have wonderful holidays there. The short way to Grosseto is another advantage, we enjoyed. Enough space for the car is very much appreciated. We come again!
