129 reviewsWhat a warm and friendly welcome by the staff and family at Villa Mafalda! I was grateful I was permitted to check-in early after a not-so-pleasant stay at a nearby AirBnb location. I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased to have been upgraded to a double room with the most gorgeous views outside the double doors on my balcony. Lush green gardens, picture postcard buildings and the base of Mt. Epomeo were a welcomed backdrop to my room. The room was equipped with all the essentials I needed for my stay, including plenty of toiletries, towels, hangars, hooks for my clothes and even delicious little lemon cookies. My bed was very comfortable and had two side tables, making it easy to keep water and eyeglasses close-by. After an unpleasant experience nearby, I was extremely happy to be in a comfortable room and sparkling clean bathroom. Breakfast welcomed me with double espressos and a taste of home, hard boiled eggs! I did not use the television but did use the WiFi. If I had only one comment it was the WiFi was a bit weak in my room, but I easily remedied that by walking into the hallway to send messages back to the USA on WhatsApp. When I return to Forio I absolutely will return to Mafalda. I cannot imagine going anywhere else now. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable. Grazie per avermi tratto come una famiglia!
