Hotel Miramare

We stayed here for one night as we are travelling Italy by train and this was a good town to break the journey up between Roma and Pisa. It was a lovely peaceful seaside town. The hotel is about ten minutes from the Train station. The receptionist did not speak English as advertised but was very very helpful and friendly. He gave us our room key and help a couple times with our air conditioning as we could not get it to turn on but he had it going in seconds. The beach opposite is a seperatly owned business. We went there for a late lunch which was good. But all the umbrellas and sun beds are apparently reserved. Luckily we got a couple hours on one before anyone noticed. The receptionist in the hotel did say he had a chair and umbrella for us to take over but there was literally nowhere to put it because the beach was packed with this other companies. But the stay was good. The air con is very hard to use. I tried a few times to get it to change temperature and it would just stop working and I had to call for help again. So we did sleep in the freezing cold. But it was a good decent 2 star hotel.
