46 reviewsLe Torri di Firenze, set high on a mountain, has a panoramic and breathtaking view of the river valley. It is quiet and peaceful yet only a 1 mile scenic walk to the village with grocery store, bank, restaurant and more. The hosts Anna Lisa and Ezio are charming, helpful and kind. My train was greatly delayed by a worker strike so that I arrived well past their latest pick up time. Yet they drove to the station and collected me with an enthusiastic welcome despite the late hour. Greatly appreciated. Besides the tasty breakfasts, one can arrange for dinner to be prepared by chef, Ezio. I invited my friend and we enjoyed a wonderful meal including the best eggplant parmesan I've ever tasted. Do NOT miss the hiking trails in the forest above Le Torri. You pass through flower filled fields and enter a cool open forest with many easy trails leading directly to several extremely photogenic old stone towers . I look forward very much to my next visit.
