Villaggio Approdo di Ulisse

I stayed here for 4 nights, it is a lovely resort with it's own club and restaurant, the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, the room included breakfast and lunch, the food was great. there is also a little private beach which you can spend the day sunbathing.

Getting there is not too bad I flew into Palmero and got a bus to Trapani for 11 euros, from there you catch the ferry to Favigana for 9 euros, when you get of the ferry you will then have to take a taxi to the hotel this will cost 3-6 euros depending on how many passengers the 7 seater taxi is carrying. As the hotel only offers breakfast and lunch you will have to go into town for dinner (the taxis can be booked from the hotel reception) but there are lots of restaurants, bars and ice cream shops there. 

I will definitely be going back next year!!

Just back from an amazing 4 days in stunning Favignana staying here at the Villagio Approdo di Ulisse.  We loved staying in this hotel as it was a bit more remote and had the added bonus of a private beach and pool area.  Stunning location, and a bit of old world charm.  The staff were not use to English speaking tourists but went out of their way to help us.  Easy taxi ride into the centre where there is a large number of restaurants to choose from.  Great family resort highly recommend for those looking for somthing a bit different and particularly family friendly.

Infrastructure very good,it needs maintanance,bathroom old but practic and clean.T.V did not work.We did not complain because price is good.

Amazing location stunning scenery

Very good position,bungalow rather old.

Great service in the reception where everythig pass through, 
BUT the service in the restaurant is really poor. 
Breakfast is even worse no coffee available!!
and fruits seems to be  a luxury article, also in plein summer.
The problem is the ownership AURUM that  do not care of he customers at all.
Locals have no responsibility.

IT'S A PITY  SUCH  A LOW SERVICES FOR SUCH A BAUTIFUL ISLAND

I stayed here in conjunction with a dance music festival held in the beginning of June. I wouldn't have stayed here if I knew better. Walking through the tired resort, one couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for better times it probably never had. It might have been all the 80s Italian movies I've seen, as the resort seemed to be built then. The room was elementary, with no windows and an electric hot water tank I had to manually turn on. The landscaping was poor, unless one finds a garden of weed beds and haphazard rockery appealing. The meal service (breakfast and dinner) was very poor quality. Credit to the staff -- I've learnt Italy (like the Middle East) doesn't really do the whole 'customer service' thing, but approaching staff as people, attempting to speak Italian, will get you far. If you're visiting for the dance music festival, stay in the town -- Favignana is a fabulous little island otherwise.

If only I knew

The hotel has a great location, but bad management. The place is wrecked, everything is rusted and VERY old. The double beds are actually 2 single mattresses, so if you are a couple prepare to fall between the gap.There is no Wi-Fi in rooms or anywhere near them. You have to go to reception, and it's limited even at hours with no one around. Took me 15 mins each time to download emails.The staff are all really unfriendly/not helpful even if you speak Italian. You can't pay with cash but you have to top-up your room code to use in the facilities and it's NOT REFUNDABLE!!!Because there's in no place to eat in a 6km radius they charge you 15 euro for lunch or dinner and It's horrible.

Don't stay here, stay in town.

Nice location, nice beach, overall well maintained rooms and bungalows and friendly service. In true Sicilian style, some aspects may seem unreal to the well-travelled visitors: little or no running water at night, no change of towels for 5 days, free internet in the reception area when working.

A typically Sicilian experience

Asking three different members of staff to have clean towels after a 3 days'stay we've been answered there were none available! And none have we seen until the end of the week!! The cleaning was third-world standards, dust and rust reigning everywhere in the room and in the canteen area. The food was clearly below Sicilian standards and the receptionist had the guts to say it was not her responsibility if she couldn't help!! After we came back, somebody had the nerve to post on FB that we had been happy to stay there and wished we would go back!! The only reason to come here, except for the entertainers, who were quite young but kind and enthusiastic, would be Ciccio, the guy in charge of excursions, who provided a valid service, albeit Sicilian in punctuality. The location, however, was absolutely wonderful and the place could be paradise if well managed. What a pity!!!
