Hotel Belvedere

We stayed in the hotel for a week . The location is stunning as the hotel is built onto the side of the cliff overlooking the sea. The rooms all have a private balcony. The swimming pool is way below the hotel itself and nearly at sea level. You can walk down to it or use the lift which drops right down through the rock face. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle bus which takes you back and forwards to Amalfi town and this is much better than relying on the local bus service although it is a bit more expensive. Breakfast is served on an open terrace which juts out over the cliff, bets location I've ever had for a meal. Great spot for couples maybe not so good for children . Evening meals are OK but probably better to eat in town or in one of the local cafes.
