If you are looking for a holiday rental with all the mod cons, look somewhere else. This is a group of 17th century barns converted into villas. Situated in a 1000 hectare vineyard with olive groves near the top of a mountain 3kms from Dicomano, Tuscany. All owned by a delighted man called Francesco. Amongst the villas is a small 17th century chapel. A relatively modern swimming pool has been added to the complex. A little further up the mountain you will find Francesco's restaurant with stunning views. Good food, good wine, good service. The views from the villas are breathtaking and you feel totally cut off from the rest of the world. A five minute drive down a track with hairpin bends finds you in Dicomano - a small Tuscan town where you will find a very well stocked inexpensive supermarket. We flew into Pisa but I recommend Florence as a better option simply because it is nearer. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be !
