We (an older Australian couple) can’t praise this establishment too highly. It has plenty of rural ambience yet the accommodation is of a high standard, with a modern bathroom and washing machine. I loved the traditional furnishings and fittings. The hosts are outstanding, being Antonella and her parents Vito and Maria, who live next door. Antonella speaks very good English. When I enquired about a toaster, one was produced the same day. They were friendly and hospitable and offered us coffee which we gratefully accepted. There is a parking area adjacent to the flats and the Wi-Fi worked well. There is a seafood restaurant at the Belvidere five minutes drive away (or a stiff walk up the hill!). Grotta Mangiopane is only a short distance away, as is the sea. We had no trouble driving to Erice one day, and Zingaro Nature Reserve another. We loved seeing the dogs lolling about opposite and the friendly cats who came to visit us. Some days a flock of sheep wandered down the road ringing their bells and looking for pasture. All this, yet there is a supermarket ten minutes drive away. An electric kettle would be a welcome addition!
