21 reviewsI've always dreamed of an extended vacation in Italy and Casa Clotilde located in the heart of Tuscany was the perfect place to start. Our host, Giada, came to be our friend during our two week stay. Giada's parents live on the property and were a joy to chat with even though we speak only English and they speak Italian. Lots of talking with our hands. We bought wine from Giada at very reasonable prices, she shared her homemade Lemoncello and her Papa brought over cherries marinating in Grappa (an acquired taste (-;). We were fortunate to have perfect weather. Most days we took day trips to hilltop towns to explore.... Civitella, Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena. We also took scheduled guided tours in Rome and Florence. At the end of the day, we looked forward to returning to our hillside home to kick back, relax and play cards. We barely scratched the surface of things to do during our visit and we hope to return to our Casa on the hill.
