BB Palazzolo La Foce

My husband and I enjoyed an incredible 3 nights at La Foce in mid-October, in celebration of our 5th anniversary. I can’t say enough nice things about our stay: our room was spacious and very comfortable, with incredible views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. While it was a little too cold for swimming, we had a very inviting pool just steps from our front door, with some comfy chairs next to it, perfectly positioned for watching the beautiful Tuscan sunsets (or sunrises). Our morning breakfasts were incredible: even though we were the only guests on the property our first morning, we were treated to a fantastic spread of cheeses, homemade pastries and cakes, meats, fruit, and cereal. We were seated in a cozy library outfitted with a bevy of beautiful books about travel, art, and of course, gardening. (Our setting was almost too comfortable – my husband and I had to drag ourselves away, and there’s not normally much that could keep us from gorgeous Italian wine country.) Finally, the morning of our departure, we were treated to a visit of the gorgeous La Foce gardens. I could have spent the entire day strolling around the gorgeous flowers and shrubs and exploring the little trails creeping up the wooded hillside. Walking through the gardens and taking in the views of the incredible rolling hills that surrounded the property was truly a dream, and I can’t wait to visit again.
