Hotel Mediterraneo

This is a perfect hotel to stay if you wish to visit Terme Sensoriali and Theia pools because it is very close to them and we were given the discount vouchers for these two spas. The staff were very kind and lovely. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but it seems like most of the hotels are like that in Chianciano: It looks like the whole town got stuck in the 1970s. The rooms were clean and of decent size, the only issue we had is that the bathroom was very cold and our friends in the room close to us had problems with the heating system of the air conditioner. It was cold and they had to use all the extra blankets during the night. The positive side is that the staff tried to fix the problem, they were trying to help but unfortunately, they didn't manage. Looks like they will have to replace the conditioner. A part from that, the hotel was ok. The breakfast was nothing special, even though it was tasty. The cakes were home made and good, but the choice of savory food was poor. I am giving the 4 out of 5 rating because for me what counts more is the kindness of the staff than the aesthetics of the hotel. In the case of hotel Mediterraneo, the kindness of the staff has beaten the overall average hotel.
