Hotel Valbella

What a stunning hotel on the hill overlooking Bardolino and Lake Garda. i cannot compliment this little hotel enough. The hotel, rooms and pool area were all spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and well equipped, We had a lovely room (Room 8) overlooking the pool, valley, Bardolino and Lake Garda. The bed was extremely comfortable, my only small criticism was that I could have done with more supportive pillows. I'm sure if I'd asked the fantastic staff or the owner would have been only too happy to assist, however as I was only staying for two nights it didn't trouble me very much. There was a fabulous array of freshly prepared options for the buffet breakfast which were replenished regularly and, if necessary, prepared specifically for you on request. There was plenty of coffee available however we were also offered the option of a range of specialist coffees - capuccino, latte, mocha all free of charge. I loved our stay at this hotel and will certainly return. We were there during some unseasonably hot weather (low 30 degrees!), and so although we managed the 20 minute walk down the hill to Bardolino, walking back up the hill during the day would have been very hot and tiring and impossible at night due to the complete lack of any lighting. We therefore used a local taxi which was 10 euros in the day and 15 euros at night. Many of the other guests had a car (there is plenty of car parking available at the hotel). On the morning that we were leaving we were unable to book a taxi as none were available, but were delighted that one of the staff kindly gave us a lift to the station in Bardolino (free of charge).
