Agriturismo Ai Ciliegi

We are a family of 5 - 2 adults and young children ages 3,2 and 6 months. We stayed at Agristurismo ai Ciliegi for 7 nights. I was a bit apprehensive about booking a place for a week in case we didn't like it but I did not have to be worried at all - this place was absolutely wonderful and could have easily stayed another week if not longer! The accommodation is extremely comfortable - looks like new! You can tell the owners put in a lot of thought and effort into creating a comfortable place to stay with everything of high quality. The beds were great and they also provided us with a baby cot. The bathroom is spacious and extremely sparkling and clean. Wifi was extremely fast. The doors, windows and blinds are fantastic and we had such a great sleep as the blinds blocked out the sun (with the long days in Lake Garda the sun goes down at 9pm and up again very early so was great to have block out blinds and a great sleep in without being woken by the sun very early). The B&B is located in a vineyard so it's an authentic italian experience and very relaxing. The grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped and it is such a wonderful place to be. They had large green lawns which our rooms opened up into and they also had children's play equipment so my kids were happily and safely playing in the grounds whilst we had a leisurely breakfast. The breakfast is fantastic and very tasty - so much lovely food cooked by Donatella - sweet and savoury and one day they even had bacon and fried eggs which was fantastic since we haven't had that since we've been in Italy. As for location, it is very conveniently located and a great base to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. We had a car and it was an easy 5 minute drive to the beautiful town of Lazise (which we strolled though many afternoons and evenings - a must to visit!) as well as a 10 minute drive to Bardolino which is also a wonderful town to see. It is also close to the theme parks including Gardaland (make sure you buy Gardaland tickets from Donatella as they are much cheaper than buying at the park and you don't have to queue to get in). We couldn't be happier with the location - it was a great base. But best of all were the wonderful hosts Donatella and Sandro. They are the most gentle, lovely, friendly and generous people. Nothing was too hard for them and they were so accommodating to any request that we had. They tidy up your room every morning and keep the place looking fantastic - you can tell that they love and take pride in their property and what they do. They are always there with a 'ciao' and a big smile. I cannot thank them enough for their wonderful hospitality and would highly recommend Agriturismo ai Ciliegi to anyone visiting Lake Garda!
