My daughter and I recently spent four nights at this hotel for which we had been unable to find any reviews. Our booking was in early August during the high season when hotel prices are at a premium. The price quoted was well below the average and we were not sure what to expect. However, on arrival it exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and we were given a good sized room with balcony. The bathroom was immaculate and the room nicely furnished. The room had air conditioning, a safe and TV. The breakfast was more than adequate and included fresh fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese, croissants and pastries. The hotel is family owned and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also speak some English. The hotel is located towards the back of the town and is about 5 minutes walk to the sea front but because we were there during the busy season we were happy to be away from the crowds. I would certainly return to the Hotel Baia Blu if visiting Alassio again.
