Villa Pirandello Agrigento

My partner and I stayed at Villa Pirandello for two nights in October 2016. Pirandello's home and gardens are set below street level, and, as described in other reviews, are accessed via a ramp from the street. The climb was, however, no problem, and, in fact, accentuated the privacy of the setting of the Villa.The B&B is accessed through the garden, and is set into the ground floor of Pirandello's home. The rooms open directly onto an outdoor terrace, with views of yet another garden, and comfortable seating. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, and extremely quiet. Breakfast was served on the veranda of the attached restaurant, and, while simple, was delicious and completely satisfying. Alessio was a very gracious and welcoming host, and we envy him his beautiful office cut into the Agrigento rock. The B&B is located just a short walk from the train station, and is an easy walk into the center of the town. Importantly, it is on the bus route heading to and from the Valley of the Temples, and was a welcome retreat after a long day at the archeological site. We look forward to revisiting Sicily, Agrigento, and the Villa Pirandello.
