Bad hotel, nonexistent reception, dirty and outdated, unreasonable cost, we were charged twice for not knowing how to check out with a credit card, incredible positive reviews.

Get away from here.

I saw on booking that a chalet was available for the weekend, but because I work with tourists I called to get a discounted rate. I repeatedly asked for the chalet and was told the price and if I wanted the chalet was available the night before as well. When we arrived they said the (1) chalet in the hotel was reserved a month ago and the people arrived the night before. They said that I reserved a regular room and they could only provide that, even though I could have booked the chalet online the day before. 

The woman at reception continuously told me that she (very proudly) was in charge of the reservations and the websites like booking.com and there was no room called chalet in the hotel - even though I specifically used the terminology they used on booking. I don;t use that word! Anyway, the only good part of the hotel was that we weren't charged for the cancellation.

On Saturday we went into the hotel to see what we were missing. The hotel was dirty with old mattresses in the hallway and on the balcony. The door to the chalets and suites had a broken handle. The outside area was not in good shape, to say the least.

There are so many guesthouses and hotels in Safed, This is not worth your money. Any if you just want it for the good level of kosher food you can eat your meals there if you please. But I recommend buying take out food from the 3 stores on Jerusalem St. They have so many choices and probably taste so much better than this hotel.

Weekend was saved because they messed up my reservation and I couldn't stay here!

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. 

1. The location is horrific as you can hear all of the street noise. 

2. The food is even worse as I only ate bread. Everything else looked unsanitary and disgusting. 

3. The rooms are just terrible and unclean. The wind was howling through the windows and the street noise was too much to handle. In addition, the room was incredibly dirty upon arrival. 

4. The service was probably the worst of everything. They did not help me in any way and always responded to my requests with rudeness. One of them opened my door at 1AM, woke me up and demanded my one of the keys for my door. Just horrific service! They are awful people to treat guests like this. 

Bottom Line: DO NOT STAY HERE! IT IS A TERRIBLE HOTEL! I'm sure there are better hotels in Safed. I wish TripAdvisor will allow me to give zero stars to this hotel.

Cheap quality hotel.
I came here for one night, really enjoyed the location because it's on the main street in the "old city".
Room wasn't bad, I even had a view from the window.
There wasn't a shower certain in the bathroom, they asked me at the counter why I didn't tell them right away...

Good location but hotel needs improvement

It's a very simple hotel in a good location in Tzfat. Close to restaurants, fairs, synagogues and shopping malls. The rooms are poorly maintained and in need of renovation. The cleanliness is something to be improved.

The kosher hotel of the media range in Tzfat.

We were very nervous after reading the reviews. we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. twe stayed in one of the suites. the rooms were clean and spacious. The food on shabbos although ot high end was more than enough. Shabbos day meal could have been better. All in all it was way better than we were expecting in for a hotel in tzfat.

Horrible, dirty room doesn't even get a star, disgusting bathroom, very limited toilet service, and the sheets don't talk about it if we could have switched hotels we'd have left right away.

Klezmer Festival in a beautiful city!!!!

The overall condition of the hotel is average, you could even say, lower. We spent the night in the cabins that are located in the backyard of the hotel. The one we ordered turned out not to be the same as it was when we ordered, but we were offered a room in the room itself. which turned out to be even worse. As a result, we were given another cabin that was better than the first one. It was quite clean and spacious. The truth is that there was a very shortage of a teacup that was in the lobby with free coffee, tea and disposable glasses. Which on the one hand was a plus, but on the other hand was a bit of a nuisance. The breakfast was quite average, but as we were explained that there was no season and the choice was less in season than there was now. Overall, the hotel did not leave much positive emotions.
