I booked a room for 1 night at Sun and View Casa via Booking.com about 1 month ago.  I received a confirmation and everything seemed great. 
I then received a message that Sun and View Casa had cancelled my reservation due to invalid credit card.  I had updated my credit card even though it was valid and I had just used it the day before.  I have used the same credit card for other reservations . 
As soon as I saw the email ( i heard the message come in on my phone at 4 am ) . I called the hotel (which was 7 hours ahead ) and told them about the email I received regarding the cancellation .  The person who answered the phone said my credit card wasn't valid and they couldn't help me but suggested I try to rebook again . 
So, I went online to their website and to Booking.com and it said it was ALL SOLD out .  Bizarre since they just cancelled my reservation .  I called Booking.com who looked into it and reported back the same response about the credit card.  THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CREDIT CARD. 
I then checked Sun and View Casa's website and Booking .com but this time I put in for 2 nights ( this included the night that I wanted ) and then it was available.  So, it appears to me that Sun and View Casa wanted a minimum of 2 night stay but since I was only 1 night - just cancelled my reservation .  Poor customer service - I told this to Booking.com that this should be noted on their file.  
In addition , the rate I booked was a refundable rate and no prepayment was required until 5 days before the reservation .  The cancellation happened on May 5th and my reservation was for May 17th . So this was at least 12 days before anything was due.  No good explanation was given to me.  I then had to scramble to try and rebook another hotel . 
DONT USE THIS HOTEL  - their business practice seems not on the up and up.  I am sure that the hotel is probably nice but this type of business behaviour leaves a bad taste.

Bad Experience

The suites are located further from the city center in a very calm and relaxed neighborhood. Owners are very nice and helpful. Airport is relatively far from here so airplanes are not disturbing. The suites are located in nice villa, with a large common space, which also hosts a kitchen, equipped with the oven, microwave-oven and selection of kitchenware. There is a nice pool, tennis table and sofas available in the yard. Eilat like other places in Israel has a lot of stray cats and they will come to beg for food.

Our room was mid-size and comfortable. It had shower in slightly smallish bathroom. The room was equipped with TV with selection of channels and several electric sockets. From a second floor balconies there is a view to the sea.

The bus station is located in 1.9 km and the airport in 2.4 km. The distance to city beaches is 2.2 km, but you can descend 950 m to the sea through a quarry and you will find a very nice Dekel Beach. Futher towards Taba you can find very nice southern beaches with good snorkeling and a coral reserve. Buses 15/16 go along the sea towards border with Egypt.

For grocery shopping there is a small supermarket in 150 on the same street, which works also on shabbat, and much larger supermarket Yeinot Bitan (יינות ביתן) in 1.3 km hidden in the middle in Amdar neighborhood, which is closed on shabbat. For other shopping rather visit new industrial area on the exit from Eilat on another side of the city.

Relaxed place closer to southern beaches

We stayed 5 nights in the room with the sea view (with big own terrace). Very comfortable. We were "lucky" that the co-visitors left the house usually early in the morning for a day trips so we could charge our batteries at the pool, completely alone. Shy, who runs the place was very helpful, accommodating and friendly and at the same time you did not even notice him around. Highly recommended.

Home away from home

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was really restful (what we were looking for). We had  room with private kitchen, everything that you need for  short stay is in. If you want more, you can use shared kitchen. Everything was clean! The swimming pool was a bit cold but we were in low season! In February the weather was between 22 and 25°C, so you can walk down the town easily, a bit less than 2km. ( I'm not sure that you can do it in the high season under 35 or 40 degrees) but you have buses and taxis. If you are looking for a place with everything, clean and restful... Go for it! Enjoy the sun, the view and the Casa. Thanks to the owner for everything, keep going as you are providing high standing for an apartment renting. See you next time. 

Clean and restful 

We stayed in Casa for 4 days in December 2017. It was nice, everything we needed and perhaps even more. The owners kept the house really clean and tidy. Above all they were helpful in finding us groceries and informing us of local sites.
If you visit the Casa don't immediately go to the 24/7 groceries (which is 50 down the road) but instead ask the owner for a much cheaper supermarket.
The only downside is that it is a bit further away from the beach, but the price well compensates for the fact.

A good value for money

We stay in the casa for 4days with my wife. We had nice apartment with bathroom and kitvhen. Everything was clean and nice, two TVs at apartment, towels and shampoo. Guys weere helpful with advice where to go in Eilat and where is cheap and good shopping. We love to go back ;)

Trip to eilat

This apartment in a very quiet residential area of Eilat is a real find, and is perfect for a short stay. The room is small as is the bathroom but it has a balcony and there is a large kitchen downstairs to prepare meals. There is also an outdoor pool, too cold for January. It is a 10 minute drive to the harbor where most of the restaurants are. Wifi in the room is spotty. Amenities are basic but so is the price.

Decent option in quiet neighborhood

Spent two days, one night, on a scuba-diving vacation in the Eilat nature reserve and wanted a quiet and relaxing environment for the evening and night. Sun & view Casa offers exactly that. It is a small hostel somewhat remote to the city center. But is really an excellent facility, a spacious Villa with only 5 rooms having swim-able pool, nice Bar-B -Q garden next to it, with huge and comfortable dining hall and kitchen. Rooms are   clean and furnished with style.
