Devonview House

Has just been taken over by Aileen. This was her first weekend of hosting and what a marvellous job Paul and she did. We stayed there for four nights. We were immediately greeted by the hosts with a welcoming cup of coffee and a scone. We were made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. This is a gem of a place. Tastefully decorated. Great central location for shops and beach. Lovely seating area. Comfortable rooms and bed. 
I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Youghal.

Lovely little B&B run by Sarah who was very friendly.

Our room was spotlessly clean with tea & coffee.  The shower room was compact but again spotless with complimentary toiletries.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely.

Would stay again when in the area.

Beautiful, grand house with impressive and spotless rooms. Breakfast was delicious with a very good range of options. House central and safe. Owner helpful and we very much enjoyed our fruit and glass of wine on arrival! Would definitely stay here again - no doubt!

This is an impressive Georgian House, recently renovated. The standard of decor is excellent. A wonderfull hallway and wide georgian stairs. Much of the original georgian decor is retained, (the entire original wooden stairs) and all the furniture is in keeping being mostly antique hardwood wooden furniture. Great to see such a building being well used today. The accommodation owner / manager Lucy, was very helpful. There was a large choice of breakfast food, all very well prepared. A very comfortable house to stay in Youghal, near the town centre and the beach. Recommended.

We stayed there for 2 nights with kids absolutely beautiful couldnt have done enough for us I would highly recommend staying here and it was close to everything and we will be going back breakfast was amazing and kids loved everyone

It was our first family holidays with our 7 month old baby girl and it was amazing! Lucy and Michael were sooo kind and so helpful! The breakfast was lovely and huge! We will be definitely going back as we enjoyed every minute of it!

Coming back from our anniversary weekend and we are absolutely amazed with our stay at the Devon View House! The place is beautiful, clean and the bed super comfortable! Breakfast is delicious and Lucy is a great host!

Stayed here with work and couldn't have picked a nicer place. Lovely rooms lovely food and the owner is a Gem. It's in a lovely location 2 mins from the beach but beside the town. When things go back to normal I'll be back.

The B&B was a great find for us. It is so central in the town of Youghal, and the couple who own it were so friendly and welcoming. We felt very safe and all Covid regulations were adhered to. The rooms are bright and really spacious and comfortable. We also loved the cooked to order breakfast in the morning. We would definitely come and stay again.

Visiting Youghal for  Ironman 2022

Beautifully restored Georgian House. Very well run B&B.

Lovely place to stay!

We spent 3 nights at this lovely house , the rooms are decorated to a very high standard. Lucy and Michael are the perfect hosts welcoming us with a glass of wine, the breakfast choice is excellent and the food is terrific.
The house is at the top of the town a short walk to the beach and the shops ,bars, restaurants are 5 minutes walk away. I would highly recommend this Accommodation and we hope to be back again this year.

Fantastic Accommodation

We enjoyed a fantastic week at Devon View House, a beautiful bed and breakfast situated just on the edge of Youghal town and within a stunning walk to the beach.  Upon arrival we were greeted by Lucy who owns the bandb along with her husband Michael. She had prepared a selection of fruit and juice for our children.  We were made to feel very much at home.  The adjoining bedrooms were perfect for us arriving with 2 young children.  Breakfast made to order and was absolutely delicious and set us up for a day of exploring the south-east coast of Ireland.  We cannot recommend this fantastic bandb enough!

We found a gem!

A hidden gem , great rooms that are better than most hotels , well serviced and spotless , great atmosphere created by fantastic hosts with nothing being too much trouble for the wonderful lucy. Everything within walking distance . breakfast was fresh and tasty with fresh homemade brown bread. Wish we had being staying longer. Would highly recommend .Hope to be back soon.

Fantastic outstanding gem, Great hosts

I travelled to Youghal with my family for a long weekend holiday, and we decided to stay in Devon View House given the high rating. Even the excellent reviews could hardly do it justice: I have never experienced such a welcoming atmosphere, nor such wholehearted customer service. Lucy and Michael welcomed us at the door and immediately made us feel at home. It was great to be able to come and go freely at any time of day. 
The house is renovated to a truly excellent standard, with comfortable decor throughout. Every room has an individual feel to it; my partner and I had a room on one of the lower floors and it was very different in character from the rooms upstairs, which made each one feel special. The rooms were invariably warm, spotless and comfortable. 
The breakfast was a real treat each morning, especially the homemade bread. There's a great selection and they were very happy to cater to dietary needs. 
During our stay we encountered some problems with food poisoning from a restaurant (not in Youghal), and Michael and Lucy could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and even provided alternative accommodation after some related mishaps. I can't thank them enough for their wonderful attitude.
If you're looking for an intriguing place to stay with first-rate hosts, this is the place. We'll definitely be looking to stay again when we return to Youghal.

A Fantastic B&B, Highly Recommended

This is a newly renovated luxury B and B in the centre of Youghal, right off the main street. Lucy, Michael and their young family are so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. Their was an error on the type of room on my booking, I'm not sure if it was my fault or the booking website. Lucy fixed this for us no problem. The house is amazing, the decor is out of this world. The rooms are spotlessly clean. We stayed  in a family room which has two rooms adjoining. Lucy provided us with a travel cot for our 1 year old and a bottle warmer so we did not have to go looking for a microwave at 7am! Rooms were very quiet at night, you'd never know we were so close to the main town. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I got an omelette, my partner the full Irish. The baby highchair was waiting for us when we got down. Also has a decent continental spread. The freshly made homemade brown bread was amazing. The beds are the small double beds but worked well for us and very comfortable. There is a small staircase in the family room so needed to be careful with our 1 year old but very manageable. Youghal is a lovely seaside town to explore too! We will definitely be back to Devon View House for a visit. Niamh, Mark and Ava 😀

Warm welcome to a stunning B and B

What a wonderful place to stay! Lucy greeted us with genuine warmth when we arrived; there had been a slight muddle with our booking but Lucy took it all in her stride, was very apologetic, even though it wasn't her fault, and offered to upgrade our room. All the rooms were beautiful and very well equipped, so we did accept her kind offer as the upgraded room was slightly bigger. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great as well, also the room was very quiet as there was no road noise so everything you need for a good nights sleep!
Breakfast the next morning was very plentiful and with a great choice, it would surely suit every taste; definitely try the eggs benedict as this had to be the best I've had! On the second evening we'd just come back from being out all day and Lucy tapped on the door and gave us 2 glasses of wine and checked that we had everything we needed! Such a lovely lady. All in all a great place to stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel.
