We have stayed in several B&Bs during this holiday in Ireland and I must say that the B&B Bru Na Pairc was the best. Five minutes' drive from the centre, the rooms are very small and the bathroom is tiny but with everything necessary, including high-quality accommodations. We will not forget the excellent and abundant breakfasts: always available at a yogurt buffet and fresh fruit (butterflies and strawberries in abundance), orange juice, three types of fresh toasted bread and delicious muffins made by the lady. In the widest choice of dishes cooked at the moment: pancakes, salt and eggs, Irish breakfast and more. The kindness and sympathy of the owner are a plus that make the stay in this hotel an unforgettable experience. Thank you!!

It's like home. For me, the top.

The room and shower was smaller than the average stateroom on a cruise ship.  No room for luggage. The Wi-Fi service was terrible and mostly non-existent.  Shower was tiny.  It was a long walk to the square in the center of Bantry.  Over a mile, I think.   Walking back from town is all uphill and there were no taxi's available at 10:00pm when we left our function at the Maritime Hotel.  The walk home in the rain and dark was quite tedious.  The value was terrible as it cost only about 20 euros less than the Maritime.  The breakfast was delicious and the owner was very nice.  I would not stay there again.

Claustrophobic 

We agreed with the owner, to avoid splitting into two rooms, to have an extra bed in a family room, and she kindly agreed with us. We were really comfortable, the bathroom was a little small but with all the comforts including bath towels and accommodations for everyone. She allowed us an early breakfast, having us advance the tour to the bay, and also a late check-out to allow us a nice hot shower after the tour.

Don’t go! I regret staying there and will never return. I have never before left accommodation I payed for and burst into tears because of how I was treated. Peggy May be “ under a lot of pressure” as she claimed and she did apologise for her “bedside manner” but it was clear to me that was just because she was worried about reviews. I have never left a negative review before but it’s not okay to abuse and humiliate people like she did. It began over breakfast when she cooked bacon in my meal and became angry that I don’t eat it (even though I’d told her beforehand) . Then it was alternating  put-downs and attempts to placate me until I left ( 2 hours before I’d intended to go). She snapped at several other people while I was there. You don’t need this.
Stay somewhere friendly.

Stay away to stay safe.

What a find! Peggie and her dog Twinkle made our stay special. Peggie is a very busy lady helping either young people or elderly neighbours to get out and about, but it doesn't stop her running a great B&B. Breakfast was lovely, the bacon was very tasty. Fresh fruit and yoghurt some days and as a special treat strawberries with the yoghurt. She even tried to tell us she'd picked them at 6.50 that morning! As she's telling us we could see the twinkle in her eyes!!  The beds very comfy. I had the best night sleep the first night we were there. Bliss. Good range of breakfasts available and the tastiest of tea. Thank you Peggie and Twinkle

Very kind, friendly, available owner, small but very clean and fine room, plenty of breakfast, with almost everything ready at the moment, having the option of choosing between the options given by the owner.

Fine environment

Peggy is a force of nature. And in the all-encompassing way of the Irish, her welcome leaves no stone unturned. Add to that: homemade scones, soda bread, elaborate breakfasts. Stays at Bru Na Pairc bookended the Sheep's Head walk organized by Hillwalk. The whole trip was a marvel.

Hillwalk Tour B&B

We stayed for 2 nights for the Bantry Bay set dance weekend as we left it too late to book the hotel and it was full. No matter, as Peggie looked after us brilliantly, from making sure we were warm enough to providing a huge choice of breakfast you would only usually find in a 5 star hotel! Everything from pancakes to eggs benedict was on offer, and Peggie was totally happy for me to take away 2 of her delicious  home made muffins to eat with lunch later.....The room was immaculate and had fluffy white robes and a comprehensive tea tray, including fruit teas and yummy chocolate snack biscuits! Lovely hot shower. Thanks Peggie. You're a star!

Hostess with the mostess!

A group of us stayed with Peggy recently and we were blown away by her fantastic welcome and hospitality. 
Very comfortable and clean rooms, followed by a great breakfast with an extensive menu. Pancakes, smoked salmon, full Irish..... and Peggy's special breakfast muffins. Freshly baked brown bread and blueberry muffins were delicious. 
Very knowledgeable on local area, best scenic routes, restaurants and bars. 
All 6 of us agreed that it was our best bed and breakfast experience of our week long trip around Ireland.

Excellent Hospitality

This B & B is about 15 mins walk from town centre.  Bedroom was spacious with bedside lamp on each locker, plenty plugs, full length mirror, a bathrobe for each guest, plenty toiletries and big fluffy bath towels & hand towels.  The breakfast was superb - loads of cereals/ fruit/yogurt/juices and 5 choices of cooked breakfast - I had something different each day and each was fab and so was the home baking.  The owner is a very  pleasant lady and gave advice to all guests on things to do & see in the area.
