Central  spot in the middle of the town. Perfect for when we visited nearby attractions. Loved the smell of the turf fire reminded me of my grandparents home. The breakfast was spot on and was devpured by us all. Will definitely return again on next visit to Donegal Town. Lovely and clean and homely.

Stayed for 2 nights last minute break we had lovely stay 
the B&B is homely and a lovely  open fire on which you could smell the turf burning in their cute sitting room were guests can sit and watch TV 
the bed room was lovely small but comfortable an old world feel which added to the ambience of the guesthouse  the owners Greg & Lorraine are so helpful and friendly and  the breakfast was delicious we will definitely book again 

Great wee spot right in the middle of donegal town central to everything come for night out in the Abbey Hotel  .We had a great breakfast  loved the cute wee potato bread. Deffentily will return again on next visit to Donegal Town .lovely and clean and homely.

We noted no smell as others have suggested. Everything was as advertised. Wonderful thoughtful owners (Loraine never stops working!). We stayed in an ensuite, which was totally adequate.  If you rent a room with a shared bathroom, what else would you expect! Why complain if that was what was advertised.
The ambiance was great and just what I would expect in a town with with such a rich history.
Breakfast was outstanding. 
Parking was, again, as advertised: limited free down a narrow lane, or pay and display (2.40 per day) at a very close lot.
I would definitely stay here again.

We found this guesthouse fanatastic! So friendly and welcoming and the rooms were spotless and so comfortable.
This was my first experience of a guesthouse and i'm impressed. The breakfast was delicious. 5 stars from us. We can't wait to return.

Stayed here for 3 nights with a few friends as we were travelling up to play golf for a few days. Rooms were exactly what we wanted, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of options. Location is ideal, centre of the town, just a short stroll from pubs/restaurants. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling up for a few nights. Thanks again.

Booked late on a wim, but couldn’t be happier with the choice we made. 65€ for two people including Full Irish breakfast tea/coffee toast cereal and orange juice. En-suite room tea/coffee in room and free WiFi. Lovely family run business clean room and close to everything. Recommended 👍

We really enjoyed our stay here.  The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was substantial and to tasty.  Interior was warm and homey.  Bed was comfortable but room was a bit small.  Good value compared to other local accomodations.  Great location to walk around the city centre.   I'd stay there again.  I was really surprised by some of the negative reviews, not sure why.

Visited the Atlantic for the recent Rory Gallagher Festival at Ballyshannon .The place was perfect for our needs as we were only there to sleep and eat breakfast ,basic accommodation though I don’t understand the negative reviews  concerning shared bathrooms as some rooms are advertised as this, excellent freshly cooked breakfast and our hosts were very friendly and helpful.There is a small car park on site first come first serve basis.We have already booked again for festival next year

Welcoming, comfortable,great breakfast!

The location was good and the room was clean. I have no issue with it. The only thing is the lady, I think she runs this place with the husband, is so not friendly. She seems so uptight and did not even have a bit of hospitality when I stayed there. She was probably busy serving breakfast, but it was only 3 people having breakfast. If she is juggling to run the place, maybe get an extra person to support the operation. The guests are not staying for free at this place, so please show some hospitality.

Cold damp rooms. No parking really except a pay and display around the corner. No elevator if your room has an ensuite. If you have that you have cardiac Hill to get up to it. Not allowed to bring carry out food to your room.  So back up and down the trillion steps. Like the worst of 1950s penalty hotels. And not cheap either.

Retro not in the good way

Smells awful as you walk in so that's first impressions.

Rooms very dated and below basic norms.

Bed uncomfortable and slanted to the side. 

Shared bathroom which is awful to have to do in this day and age especially for the price. This also meant an awful amount of noise during the night.

Breakfast was grim, people actually left their full breakfasts while I was in the breakfast room.

Abysmal for the price of 94euros... Stayed few miles away previous 2 nights for similar price in comparative luxury with a great breakfast.

Do yourselves a favour and have another look for accomodation.

Avoid if other options

It is located in the heart of Donegal but the Guest House itself is not nice. The moment you walk  you smell burnt fire and as it seems the place has not been renovated in years. The bed linen also did not seem fresh but we were so tired from the trip  that we fell asleep straight away. I do not revommend this place.
