Rockmount House B&B

Beautifully situated near the cliffs, the setting couldn’t be better.  Our room had a view of the cliffs.  There is a private walking trail to the cliffs which we walked to accompanied by Bonnie.  Anne greeted us with a warm welcome when we arrived and that set the tone for the 3 days of our stay.  Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options.  Rooms were comfortable and clean with good water pressure in the shower.  Would highly recommend Rockmount House if you are looking for a scenic, quiet place to stay while exploring the Connemara area.

Really first class b&b, Ann is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is superb, rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The position is a few minutes out of Clifden so not walking distance to restaurants etc but the views are worth that sacrifice. Also the private walking trail to the cliffs escorted by the gorgeous welcoming committee aka Bonnie the dog just adds to a wonderful stay! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return.

Though this B&B is a little way out of the centre of Clifden, I would recommend it highly on the condition you have some means of transport. The house is beautifully situated near the cliffs (with its own access) and the views are breathtaking. 
The room was spacious and comfortable as well as being spotless. 
There is a good choice of breakfast options and my choice was delicious and copious. Paddy and Anne were welcoming and helpful and the dog was tail-waggingly friendly!! An address to keep!

We've been here a number of times, and this is our place to stay whenever we visit Clifden. Anne and Paddy are superb hosts, and the setting of the house is nothing short of breathtaking. I would highly recommend a visit to Rockmount House to anybody wishing to visit the area.

The B&B is beautiful, clean and comfortable. It is located along the beautiful and quiet Sky Road.
The breakfasts are various, all very generous and tasty.
Highly recommended, if we'll be back to Connemara, we'll certainly stay in this B&B again!

We really enjoyed our time at Rockmount House. Really welcoming hosts, great breakfast and comfy room. The walk to the cliff side with theor gorgeous dog Bonnie was a delight. Location and view are amazing too. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring Clifden & Connemara.

Very friendly welcome. The B&B is located outside of Clifden (5-10min drive) on the lower Sky Road. Nice and quite. Nothing to complain about.

We really enjoy the location of the house: on the lower Sky road, with a private trail to the cliffs. We also enjoyed the garden (and the dog!). And finally the hosts are very welcoming and helpful when it comes to recommendations to visit the area. We definitely recommend it!

Rockmount House is in a stunning location - the road to it is sometimes narrow with passing places where necessary, but it's well worth the effort- the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast superb and the short walk to the cliff edge to see the amazing views is just lovely. You also get the company of Bonnie the dog who is charming. Paddy and Anne are great hosts too!

Service and hospitality takes this place all the way. Clean and nice room with lovely bed linen. Great cooked breakfast and comfortable sitting room with tea, coffee and bisquits. Best of all? The lovely dog Bonnie who took the wonderful cliff walk with us. The views are stunning both in front and behind the house. The whole area is amazing. Just a short drive away from Clifden and restaurants. Definitely recommend Rockmount house.

The best B&B so far!

Wonderful views

Comfortable

My wife and I spent 3 nights here at the beginning of June. Located about 10 minutes outside of Clifden, the B&B is located on the Lower Sky Road. The views of the bay on the drive to the B&B are jaw dropping, but the road is a little unnerving for someone not used to Irish country roads. A private trail from the house through a beautiful garden leads to more awesome views of the bay and ocean. On one of our daily walks to take in the view, we were accompanied by our host's two collies who led the way along the cliffs. Anne was the perfect host offering several excellent suggestions for day trips in the area. Our room was spacious and well furnished and breakfast was excellent! Great base for exploring Connemara.
