We first stayed at Rathview House on the last night of our first visit to Ireland in the spring of 2009 because of its convenient location near the airport. We had to leave early and could not enjoy Sharon's hot breakfast. Ten years later we were able to enjoy her hospitality and a great breakfast since our flight back to the States was later in the day. Although only a few blocks to the hustle and bustle of downtown Swords, Rathview House sits on a dead end street which is quiet with no through traffic; parking is typically not an issue. Sharon is a wonderful host! We will gladly stay at Rathview House again in the future.

Our Second Stay And Look Forward To Our Third

We loved our stay at Rathview House. It was located very close to the airport, making it an ideal place to stay for our final night in Ireland. Sharon was a lovely host and very knowledgeable with recommendations for places to visit in town and tips to easily get to the airport. Our room also was very clean and tidy.

This is the peak of Irish hospitality at its best.  Sharon Harrington was amazing and we could not have been more pleased with our stay.  From our personal greeting and explanations of room and also the vast knowledge of the area and the service of taxi calling etc... Sharon made us at home in her B and B and even made us feel like mother was taking care of us.  Very pleasant and enjoyable hostess indeed.  You will not be sorry. No Detail Too Small

Tried to stay there... we called more than 24 hours in advance to courteously let the B&B owners know that we had a late check in... completely to be respectful. We were told check in was no later than 6pm. We were unaware, they said it was on the hotels.com website (run by Expedia)...we apologized for not seeing it. ..we respected their rules so asked for a refund, or partial refund...we then explained our situation and that we could not get in any earlier. We received zero flexibility from this facility.  We were shocked...we happen to manage our own lodging facility... and while rules are rules inflexibility with your guests isn't the best way to conduct business...I'm sure this is a lovely place to stay but certainly not recommended by this traveler.  

Had reservations ...but couldn't stay there

I stayed in Rathview House B&B at the beginning of July 2019 for 3 nights. From the moment I arrived to when I checked out, Sharon provided brilliant hospitality and was very helpful and informative. The breakfast menu provided great options and each meal I had was delicious. As I had a room at the back of the house it was very peaceful, while the room was very comfortable and having my own en suite was brilliant. My room was very spacious and the location of the B&B was very nice. A local supermarket and Lidl are a 3 minute walk away while Swords main Street and the Pavilions shopping centre a 10 minute walk away. Overall a very good experience.

Great Stay

This was a lovely place to stay for one night upon our arrival to Ireland.  Well appointed room with ensuite was quite comfortable.

Our host was friendly, accommodating and helpful and cooked an excellent breakfast (choices available).

A great short stay

We only had a short stay but it was very enjoyable! Sharon was very welcoming and kind. The B&B was super cute and cosy! Our room was very spacious and clean too. Thank you again Sharon for everything! 

Lovely!

Owner is very kind and helpful.  I will definitely make plans to stay here again.  Walking distance pubs.Easy access to bus.
Short drive to airport. I chose to park my car and take bus to Dublin City Centre. No problems whatsoever  Breakfast here was delicious.  You can’t go wrong staying at the Rathview  House.

Wow. What a great visit. Sharon is fantastic - welcoming, kind, thorough, accommodating, and fantastic cook. Downtown Dublin is a 25 minute drive and the airport is right in between. Swords is a charming community. We had a great time at The Old Schoolhouse down the street. Thanks, Sharon!

Absolutely fantastic stay!

If I had to describe what staying at this bed and breakfast was like I would describe it as staying at a friend's aunt's house except you have to pay. You have your own room, they make you breakfast (which was good), you can come and go when you like (but be quiet), but they have friends and family over that you can hear perfectly well until 10:00 p.m. and you have to pay hotel prices to stay there. There was no fun chit chat about where we were from or what we should see while we were there, it was very formal; not that personal experience you want from a bed and breakfast. Sharon is definitely not warm and fuzzy. Make no mistake, this is someone's home and you are a stranger staying there for a short time. This particular bed and breakfast is a short distance to the regular bus stop but if you want the swords express to get into Dublin much faster, it was a good 20 minute walk. The Main Street was only a few blocks away with a few pubs and restaurants to eat.
